Virtual Music!
This July 26th, we will again be welcomed into Jim Laing’s home – though virtually. Jim plans to develop our musical background with a few demonstrations, a little talk about the technology involved (plus what it can do), and a variety of music. There may be snippets of music to recognize or identify... a little “guessing game,” perhaps?
Jim’s musical background began when he took private organ lessons as a young boy. This led him into piano and electric keyboards (which you’ll see and hear) and started him playing in bands in high school and through college to the present day. Jim’s broad musical repertoire includes classic rock, musicals, jazz, as well as classical, country, and R&B.
Do not worry; you will not be obliged to sing a chorus from Carmen or The Phantom of the Opera (unless you insist).
