The State of Music Organizations in North Carolina
North Carolina remains one of the most culturally diverse states in the Southeast. In the Triangle alone, there are numerous orchestras, chamber music groups, all vying for similar audiences, donors, and supporters. But how can one support classical music outside of going to a concert? This talk explores the ways audiences can support classical music in the Triangle through engagement and support.
Jackson Cooper is the Executive Director of Chamber Music Raleigh, now housed at the North Carolina Museum of Art. At 23, he is the youngest executive director of an arts organization in the country, according to Musical America. He is a conductor and writer, currently editing a book on the great conductors with Maestro William Henry Curry.
