A City of Men - Nathan Kotecki Reads from His Work

Nathan Kotecki

A resident of Durham for the past fifteen years, Nathan Kotecki earned his MFA in Creative Writing (Fiction) from North Carolina State University in 2018. He has been a contributor at the Breadloaf Writers’ Conference in Vermont and has written with Randall Kenan, John Balaban, Joseph Millar, John Kessel, Belle Boggs, and Wilton Barnhardt.

Nathan has had two young adult novels published by Houghton Mifflin Harcourt: The Suburban Strange and its sequel, Pull Down the Night. His poetry has appeared in New Letters. He has contributed a short story to the much-loved annual ‘Home for the Holidays’ event to benefit the Orange County Historical Museum in Hillsborough.

For this event, Nathan will discuss and read from a variety of his work, focusing particularly on gay characters and queer sensibility in his writing.
